ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Carter Still is the choral director at Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in voice from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 2008. He earned a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Georgia in 2015. Mr. Still established the chorus program at Bay Creek Middle School when the school opened in 2009, and under his leadership the program grew to 300 students. His students represented BCMS in GMEA honors and All-State choirs, and his choral groups consistently received Superior ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluation. He was named teacher of the year at Bay Creek for the 2011-2012 school year, served as the GCPS lead teacher for middle school chorus, and currently is the district 13 choral chair for GMEA. In addition to serving as a choral director, Mr. Still has conducted honor choirs across the state of Georgia. A native of Gwinnett county, Mr. Still lives with his wife, Chrissy, and two children in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
